Really good looking kit. The effects parts are definitely worth it too.

Looks good

Unfortunately, the kit is only a looker and it's a good looker. Its joints became loose after 2 poses and it wasn't much fun to build either. If you're really into SEED then get it but an Action Base is almost required for poses

A real 50/50 RG

When it boils down to it, this kit is stunning visually, but articulation and stability are a real issue. Let's start with the good. This RG has some amazing color separation, multiple white and gray shades really give a wonderfully detailed look to the legs and chest in particular. For a 1/144 scale the detail is on point! A relatively beginner build for Real Grades, this kit is pretty gimmick free and focuses on the visual Beauty of the destiny. Now let's get to the bad. Well start with the obvious. Stickers. This kit has a series of 20 foil chrome stickers intended for the backpack unit. These stickers just don't do it. They don't stick, they don't look very good, and let's be frank, who wants to put the same sticker on 20 times? This is a must paint situation. My next big gripe is the articulation. For a real grade kit I expect decent articulation but this is where destiny really is lacking. Whether it be arms not holding anything up or....the arms not being able to go forward more than 45° or even just the fact that the legs have a wonderful inner frame but can barely pose without falling apart. Articulation kills this kit. My only other complaint on the RG Destiny has to be the hands. The back piece of the hands just won't stay on. With a few changes to that shoulder joint on the arm and some topcoat this kit could easily be a 9/10 kit. I love the Destiny and hope they release a 2.0 for this RG.

Good kit

It’s a great kit but like most Seed kits the knees are fragile and they can’t stand on there own do to the back pack. You definitely need a stand but it’s still a kit worth getting at least to me.
