Mecha Warehouse Presents: Repaired

Mecha Warehouse is excited to announce our next build-off and photo contest themed "Repaired". 

Rules:

  • An entry will constitute an individual picture of a build or diorama featuring a mobile suit or mecha that has been damaged significantly and then repaired in a visible way.
  • For the purposes of this contest, visible repairs must constitute more than just recoloring 'replacement parts' and might include, but not be limited to:
    • Replaced limbs or armor utilizing parts not from the original kit
    • Visible welds from field repairs
    • Field expedient repairs such as armored plating
  • Mobile suits can be of any scale (SD, 1/144, 1/100, 1/60, 1/48).
  • You may modify or paint any way you see fit in accordance with the theme.
  • Entries must be a new build specific for this competition.
  • Entry must be 100% the work of the entrant, and may not include parts customized or finished by any other individual.
  • Photos must be unmodified (i.e. no photoshop, filters, etc)

Judging:

  • Entries will be seeded into a bracket based on public votes through an online voting platform.
  • Winners of each bracket match will be determined by the judging team via popular vote.
  • Judges will use the following criteria to make a decision when deciding matches:
    • How well the feature mobile suit represents the 'Repaired' theme.
    • Execution of the build (are there nubs, seams, mold lines and other modeling imperfections visible).
    • Presentation and photo composition (how well does the photo display the build).
  •  Judges who have seen an entry in person will recuse themselves from voting on that match.

Prizes:

  • 1st Place: $500 Gift Card to Mecha Warehouse
  • 2nd Place: $250 Gift Card to Mecha Warehouse
  • 3rd Place: $100 Gift Card to Mecha Warehouse
  • Note: International Entries are allowed, but Mecha Warehouse only currently ships within the US.

Submissions:

  • Submissions will require a single picture presenting your completed build/scene.
  • We reserve the right to request additional pictures (including work in progress photos) in order to resolve any dispute that may arise. Only the primary submission picture will be published.
